Bulletproof makeup – how to look good during the rainy season
Just like you change your style of clothing when the weather changes, your hair, and make-up also need an alteration during this season. You should change some products and routine to suit the climate. The cold, winter weather can wreak havoc on our skin and hair. With a drop in temperature, bracing winds, and rain, it’s important to shake up our beauty regimes to keep up with the weather. Here are some tips that will help you stay flawless no matter what’s going on outside.
- Give your lip gloss a break
Avoid lip gloss because of the monsoon winds that are likely to blow your hair in your face and smear your lip gloss everywhere.
- Rich out for a mattifying foundation
Humidity causes your face to get oily very fast and ruins your makeup very easily. In order to attenuate this, use mattifying products. Mattifying powders and tissues can save your look by absorbing excess sebum.
- Keep your makeup light.
Mascara can look especially bad once it runs, so waterproof mascara is an absolute necessity on a rainy day. Eyeliner and eyeshadow can get in your eyes once wet, so look for waterproof products.
- Protect your bangs
Although the bangs are very stylish this season, on a rainy day it can ruin your entire look. Make sure you protect your bangs from getting wet or try to sleek your hair back in a ponytail.
- Fight the frizz
The humidity tends to get the hair frizz up, it would be better if you tight yours back, in a ponytail or a loose bun to keep unruly waves under control. I wouldn’t go with a slick hair look or straighten with an iron.
