Hair trends to try in 2019

Girls get ready to say ‘new hair, new me’ because the new year brings new hairstyles and hair trends. I’m here today to demonstrate you that hair can be a white canvas for creativity, imagination, and experimentation. We are lucky to live in a period of time when experimentation and deviation from tradition are called Beauty. So, stick around to find out what hair trends are going to take over salons this year.

  1. Wearable wet-look

Yes, girls, the wet look can be wearable! It’s not the hardest look to pull off, not to mention there is no red carpet without a “wet-look”. Also, this hairstyle was a recurring theme on the runways, Chloé and Victoria Beckham’s models were all rocking this look.

If you wanna try this style, let me guide you through a very simple three-step process, but first, you’ll need:

• A hair foam – Ouai Air Dry Foam

• A gel, pomade, shaping paste – Ouai Matte Pomade

• A shine enchasing product – Ouai Oil

Step 1: Apply the mousse on slightly damp hair and use your fingers to create the shape you want. Work the product all the way till the ends.

Step 2: Take the hair pomade or gel and work it through your locks, starting at your roots. Brush your hair back and let it dry a little bit.

Step 3: Adding a glossing spray is the finishing touch in order to make the bottom part of the hair blend with the roots. To keep everything in place, use a touch of hair spray, opt for a shine-enhancing hair spray.

  1. Long braids

This season’s braids are all about business and power. Skip the romantic ones and try to rock the tough, sleek braids. Long braids were seen at Max Mara, Cushnie and Erdem being worn low and long, with super shine.

  1. Polished looks

Sleek looks are back in a big way. From low perfect buns to precision high ponytails with ultra-reflective finishes. These minimal styles were spotted at Burberry, Moschino, Missoni and Christopher Kane.

I’m a big fan of these hairstyles, they are very sexy and allow your facial futures to shine. Wanna add a little bit of drama to your look follow these simple steps to achieve a low sleek ponytail:

Step 1: Start with clean hair and create a clean part wherever you prefer. It can be either on a specific side or in the middle- whatever suits you the most. If you have wavy or curly hair, grab a straightener. Once your hair is super straight, sweep into a ponytail.

Step 2: Apply styling gel on both sides to make the parts stay in place. This will add the ultra-sleek shiny finish.

Step 3: Spritz on some hair spray and polish up your ponytail. And you’re done, now go out and rock this sexy diva hair.

  1. Effortless Waves

In contrast with polished looks, this “natural movement” came from shows of Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, and Jeremy Scott. These “beach waves” are a throwback to the breezy and charming summer. It’s a very simple look, and also gives your hair a break from the heat.

As the temperatures drop you want to protect your hair from breakage and dullness. Put your damp hair in braids and let it dry.
