Rosie’s Huntington-Whiteley skincare routine
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is one of the famous models that has been very open about her skin concerns and issues, so when she posted on her Youtube Channel about her skincare routine I was all ears. Lovely Rosie is taking us through her entire routine, breaking down every single product, from makeup remover to lip balm.
In the video, she said: “I get a lot of people asking me what my skin type is. Well, on a good day, I would say I probably have just a couple of spots and on a bad day, it can be a lot. I’ve always had a little bit of acne and it’s something that my mum had and it’s something that I’m always trying to better, and so I’m quite diligent about my skincare routine.” You can find her video right here: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shares her skincare routine.
First off, for taking off her makeup she enjoys using Bioderma Sensibio micellar water because is very gentle to the skin. I love this product too and as a makeup artist I love putting makeup on, but I also know how important it is to take every last bit of it off. This is a crucial first step in making sure your skin stays clear so I wrote an article about it: cleansing skin 101.
For a heavier makeup she recommends Kopari Coconut Balm – it’s a famous bio and cruelty-free brand. It melts off waterproof makeup in no time. This is great because the skin around your eyes is so thin and this is definitely the most gentle way to go about it.
After taking off her makeup, she loves to steam her face with a hot towel, to open up the pores for deeper cleaning. This is followed by iS Clinical Warming Honey Cleanser – meant to effectively cleanse and gently exfoliate the skin. She really enjoys this product and I wonder in what cave have I been leaving because I never heard of it. Here’s what it claims to do: “WARMING HONEY CLEANSER has been specially formulated with papaya enzymes and green tea extracts to further exfoliate and nourish, helping to leave the skin looking and feeling velvety smooth.”
She recommends leaving the products for a few minutes on the skin and to remove with the same warm towel.
She also pointed out that in order to have clear skin, she takes care of what she eats: “sometimes I have to go and cut things out of my diet. Currently, I’m cutting out eggs and dairy which is really boring because they’re all my favorite things, but there is nothing better than having good skin.”
For lips she recommends Lano Lanolips 101 Ointment in strawberry.
Next, she’s moving to serum where she likes using iS Clinical Super Serum. This is a very powerful product with lots of antioxidants and Copper tripeptide for anti-aging effects, quite pricey but with promising ingredients.
She ends her routine by spraying Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence, which is cooling and very hydrating because of the hyaluronic acid.
I must admit some of these products are new to me too, especially iS Clinical’s products. I’ve never heard of them, but after doing my research I will give it a try and let you know.
